Georgetown Carnival 2013

The 2013 Georgetown Carnival has come and gone. It’s the first of a number of epic events scheduled this summer in Georgetown, Seattle. The ever-popular Hazard Factory power tool races, as usual, drew a big crowd, but the usual strange and bizarre was on hand as well.

Street art is not an uncommon sight here in Georgetown, Seattle. A recent walk around the neighborhood found this gem of severed doll limbs.

787 Approach

Georgetown, Seattle, lies directly north of Boeing Field. Air traffic is a constant in the skies as planes of all sorts approach the field. A frequent flier is Boeing’s 787.

Original Rainier Brewery

Ladders and stairs lead to the rooftop of the Original Rainier Brewery building in Georgetown, Seattle. Once home to its namesake, the Rainier Brewery, the building is now owned by the Sabey Corporation and is home to a variety of businesses.

The 2012 Dead Baby Downhill has come and gone. The epic annual Seattle event culminates with a raging party in the streets of Georgetown, where cyclists and various hangers-on gather to enjoy the insanity.
